Automatic Start of Charge
There are two common technologies that achieve automatic start of charge, Autocharge and Plug & Charge. ChargeNet currently supports Autocharge while the more advanced Plug & Charge ISO 15118 is on the roadmap.
Autocharge uses your car’s identifier to authenticate you and start charging automatically. With Autocharge set up, you can plug into a fast charger that supports Autocharge and your session will start automatically. No need for RFIDs or the app.
