Checklist: Before your first charge session

Here's what to do before you head to a ChargeNet station for the first time.

1. Create a ChargeNet account
   Sign up for free at ChargeNet website or via the ChargeNet app. You'll need a credit, debit or billing partner to register a payment method.

2. Download the ChargeNet app
   The app lets you find chargers near you, check live availability, view pricing, start and monitor sessions. Download it from the App Store or Google Play

3. Order an RFID fob (optional but recommended)
   Once your account is set up, you can order a RFID fob from your account settings. The fob lets you start a charge without your phone - handy in areas with poor mobile coverage.Learn more about RFID fobs

4. Find a charger
   Use the app or the ChargeNet website to locate your nearest station. You can filter by charger type (AC or DC), connector, and availability.

5. Start your first session
   Plug in your vehicle, then start the session via the app, your RFID fob. See Starting & stopping a charge for step-by-step instructions.
